DESCRIPTION:85% of parents are worried about what climate change will mean for their children.\nHow can we come together to visualise a better future?\nJoin us to:\n– Take part in peaceful\, creative\, child-friendly climate action 💚\n– Meet like-minded parents and carers 🙌\n– Find out more about how local families are working together towards a more positive future in Manchester and beyond 🌍 \nMothers* Rebellion Circles are inclusive of mothers\, fathers\, grandparents\, aunties\, carers and allies. The circle – as part of the next Global Mothers* Rebellion – creates a space for us to share\, listen and come together to express challenges and hopes for the future. \nBring a placard with “I’m here for…” and the names of any children or a climate message you want to share\, or create one with us on the day. Remember to wrap up warm\, and please bring a blanket/chair/cardboard to sit on! \nIt all happens outside Chorlton Precinct (by Costa Coffee) on Wilbraham Road. \nFree\, just turn up\, but feel free to drop us a message on instagram with any questions

DESCRIPTION:Are you part of a group or organisation working on “green” issues? (from reducing traffic to conservation efforts\,…it all counts!)\nDo you want to increase the impact your group has or find out about funding opportunities?\nWould you like to know how to get your message across to those who can make a difference in local or national government?\nDo you want to meet people working on green issues from around the city\, find out what they are doing\, and find ways to become more involved?\n\nIf you said yes to any of those\, then this free workshop is for you! \nThis event will: \n\nConnect you to others who share your aims and have expertise to share\nImprove the way you work with local and national government to help your group succeed\nIdentify some funding sources you can access\n\nThe event will be supported by a panel of experts who will offer advice on how we can make our green campaigning more impactful. \nThis free workshop will take place over Zoom. You will be e-mailed the link and the details of the session prior to the event. When you sign up\, you will be invited to join an e-mail group\, connecting you with a network of like-minded people in Manchester. \nThe Manchester Climate Alliance is a network of groups and individuals working in many different ways towards a greener\, more sustainable city.
