The marathon is coming to Chorlton again this spring! Where to watch and where to avoid if you’re driving.
On Sunday 27 April the adidas Manchester Marathon will be returning to the streets of Trafford and Manchester. The event is a 26.2 miles closed road running event which will involve some road closures in Chorlton – mainly Wilbraham and Manchester Roads, plus associated access side roads.
Last April 32,000 people took part in the adidas Manchester Marathon, which raised over £3.8 million for over 724 local & national charities. The event also saw a £29 million boost to the local economy. This April will see 36,000 participants taking part, many of them raising vital funds. The official charity partners of the event this year are: Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK & The Christie.
