Working together for Chorlton

Two grant funds have been announced. If you’re helping your local community, your group might be eligible.

Greater Manchester Police Funding

Greater Manchester Police’s ARIS fund is available to non-profit organisations.  Money, seized from criminals and distributed to police forces via the Asset Recovery Incentivisation Scheme (ARIS), is being invested into communities across Greater Manchester. Non-profits which benefit a large number of people can apply for a maximum of £20,000 to fund 12 months’ activities. The activities must support GMP’s objectives to fight, prevent and reduce crime; keep people safe; and care for victims. Click here for more information and to apply.

Volunteers Expense Funding

Fifteen grants of £920 are available to grassroots voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations in the city of Manchester, which support communities most affected by the cost-of-living crisis. These grants are specifically to help cover the cost of volunteering. The Eric Wright Charitable Trust has provided the funding. The grant application deadline is 12 midday on Thursday 16 November 2023. https://manchestercommunitycentral.org/volunteers-expenses-fund-2024
