Stephen Kelly – How the Beatles Rocked the World

Thursday 18 September, 7:00 pm BST
Free

When the Beatles burst onto the music scene in 1962, they brought with them a counterculture that was to have far-reaching effects: Beatlemania became the catalyst that unleashed a revolution against an outdated age. The swinging sixties, with its more liberal attitudes, offered hope of a more peaceful and just world. This fascinating social history of Britain is told by author Stephen Kelly, who saw the Beatles play at the Cavern and experienced first-hand the changes that were to take place.
