2025 marks the 21st birthday of Chorlton Book Festival.
This celebration of books, reading and writing has a very local flavour – we don’t believe we could do it anywhere other than Chorlton! The Festival is organised by a committee made up of staff from Manchester Libraries, Chorlton High School and community volunteers.
The 2025 festival takes place 9-27 September, with its customary mix of fiction, history, authors, workshops, poetry and erm…. cake. We’ve Robin Ince, Jackie Kay, (both pictured), plus Colette Snowden, Marcia Hutchinson and loads more. And there’s tons of creative fun for children of all ages too.
Chorlton loves books!
