2023 marks the 19th birthday of Chorlton Book Festival.

This celebration of books, reading and writing has a very local flavour – we don’t believe we could do it anywhere other than Chorlton! The Festival is organised by a committee made up of staff from Manchester Libraries, Chorlton High School and community volunteers.

The 2023 festival takes place 15-23 September, with its customary mix of fiction, history, authors, workshops, poetry and er.. football  – as well as tons of creative fun for children of all ages. The library is preparing to close for refurbishment in 2023, so watch out for us in a number of different Chorlton venues.   chorltonbookfestival.co.uk
