Chorlton Civic Society (formerly Chorlton Voice) is a friendly, not-for-profit community association, and membership is free and open to all.
We act as a forum and voice of residents and stakeholders in the area to promote, or assist in promoting civic pride and to secure the preservation, and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the area. That is quite an agenda! We hold regular bi-monthly meetings with speakers on a range of interesting topics and we consider – and comment on – planning applications that have been made in the area.
We convene the Chorlton Alliance and organise the Chorlton Arts Festival as well as chair the renovation of the Community Garden. There are lots of opportunities to get involved in different projects, in stewarding events or in running the organisation. Find out more by visiting one of the websites:
